Glenn Barnett, Vice President of Barnett Performance implemented HAL Systems WMS as part of HAL Systems’ totally integrated wholesale/retail distribution solution, called Distribution-Express.
After the first four months, Glenn saw some dramatic improvements in his operation. WMS directed picks has reduced warehouse travel time so that more orders are now pulled with 1/2 the people. And, inventory accuracy is 99.999%.
Shipping errors have decreased from 5-6 per day to 1 in the last 6 years.
Reports from the WMS software are used as the metrics for Barnett’s new employee pay-for-performance program. WMS reports summarize each employee ‘move’ of inventory. An audit trail is even provided that date and time-stamps every move by operator.
